The first step to organizing your content is grouping posts and articles into categories.

Categories represent a broader sense of organization and help the reader quickly preview which topics will be discussed on your publication.

Best Practices​

Follow these best practices to create effective categories:

  • Only assign one category per article to avoid confusion.
  • Choose categories based on the trends you see in the content, and group them by broad topics such as theme, content type, or user persona.
  • Every category you create is assigned a different color, which makes it easy for your users to quickly identify content that interests them.
